Today my guest is LDS author and humourist Kristen McKendry. Kristen’s books span many genres, including romance, murder mystery, biography, and historical fiction. She has even written children’s books. With such a ranging repertoire, influenced by her LDS culture and flavoured by her humourous take on life, she has been able to reach a wide ranging audience in the US and Canada, inside and outside of the LDS culture.

Interesting Canadian Mormons: Episode 008a.
Today my guest is Ayse Hitchins, a convert to the Church from from Turkey. She is the co-author of the book “The Worth of a Soul: from Muslim to Mormon.” It is a memoir of her life growing up in Turkey, chronicling the hardships of poverty, abuse, and political upheaval. The turning point in her life is when she met her husband Ross, who brought her to Christ, and entered the waters of baptism. Since her conversion, she moved to Canada with her husband, and they have traveled the world together. Ayse was later called to be on the translation committee for the Book of Mormon into the Turkish language. At the present time, she is serving on the translation committee for the Doctrine & Covenants. Ayse’s story is a riches-to-rags-to riches story. Ayse and her Husband reside in Mississauga. She currently serves as the Gospel Doctrine Teacher.
